Schoolchildren in Florida to flush toilets for the NBA
Now we know why it's called Flori-duh -- apparently children in the Sunshine State go back to school to do toilet tests for professional basketball teams.
No, really. Fourth and fifth grade elementary school students are taking a trip to the new home of the Orlando Magic to flush toilets.
The wee ones are going to help the team rep's and city officials flush all 443 toilets at once, to prove that even if everyone takes a crap at once, they're all good.
Plus the whole thing is branded by Drano, so these kids are helping advertise a a harmful-if-swallowed chemical cleaning product. But the press release says this is educational:
The purpose of the Drano “Royal Flush” event is to observe sanitary sewer flows, water consumption and pressure in and around the arena.
Wow. I haven't seen spin like that since the Harlem Globetrotters in 1979.
