Pharmacy robbed at syringe point say police

Share

DC-9-10

An Illinois man was arrested for allegedly robbing a pharmacy with a water-filled syringe that he claimed was poison.

According to police, Terry Lee Cornwell (pictured) threatened to inject the pharmacist with the "poison" if he did not hand over prescription painkillers.

Police later found Cornwell in his home and he has been charged on two counts of robbery and possession of a controlled substance.

Cornwell had already pled guilty once for aggravated robbery in 1996. No word on whether or not he used a squirt gun.
