A man was arrested in St. Lucie, FL after attempting to walk out of a grocery store with two pounds of packaged hot dogs concealed in his pants, police say.

Allan Polhemus (pictured) allegedly was packing about seven dollars worth of "Jumbo Beef Franks" in his trousers.

This doesn't exactly seem worth getting arrested for when you think of all the ways to score a free frankfurters.

Polhemus faces a misdemeanor theft charge, which makes us think that all of this could have been avoided had someone invited him to a barbecue.
