Drawing with Celery: Dumb or Clever?
On a recent Manhattan "sketchcrawl" -- artists roaming from pub to pub and sketching -- two of them challenged each other to draw with a celery stick they found at the bar. At left, Stephen Gardner wielding his stick and ink.
Is making pictures with this ribbed plant matter dumb or clever? Before you decide, check out the results here.
The better question might be, how many drinks do you think it took before the sketch with veg idea sprouted? And how many more drinks before they inevitably decide to really let loose at the bar and create art like the infamous Pricasso? (that last link, by the way, isn't all that Safe For Work)
