Yellow Journalism

There have been so many newsworthy liquid elimination stories this week that it gives new meaning to Americans who say, "We're #1!"  Enjoy... and, uh, use a bathroom, wouldya?

Oldfaithful Six seasonal employees at Yellowstone National Park illegally walked to the edge of Old Faithful and urinated into the geyser, police say.  One of them is facing a $750 fine and has been banned from the park for two years. Another has a case pending.  Best part is that they were nabbed when some total nerds naturalists watching the Park's webcam spotted their alleged acts and leaked the images.  Real photos at left released by PEER as found on the blog Red, Green and Blue.

But since when is peeing a federal offense?  Since Michael Hicks, a contractor for the Internal Revenue Service was caught on camera urinating in a freight elevator, authorities say.  Hicks faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for the disguised drizzle. Story here on The Smoking Gun but also thanks to Bobbie at Inc. magazine for heping us to the tip yesterday via our Twitter.

Jamessmith Then there's James Smith (right) whose public pee lead to drug possession and drunkenness charges, according to cops in Hannibal, MO.

And then all the way over in Seattle, there's the guy whose public relief led to an arrest after, cops say, the discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest.  Best part is he might not have been jailed if, when the cop asked him to put a clamp on his mictreration, he hadn't replied, "No, I'm not going to stop."
