Dumb Or Clever: Wait For The Tap
The latest edition of "Dumb or Clever" introduces us to Craig Zucker, an entrepreneur and Ohio native who has made headlines for bottling and selling New York City tap water...to New Yorkers.
Called "Tap'd Out," the water, which is collected from a water main in a rented warehouse in Brooklyn, costs Zucker's company just two dollars per 748 gallons. That's not bad, especially considering that one single-serving bottle retails for $1.55. And the water is clean, so much so that it's been rated by the FDA as requiring no filtration.
So as to the question of whether Manhattanites are dumb enough to plunk down a buck and a half for something that comes out of their sinks and drinking fountains for free, I will ask this: is it any dumber than Trump Ice?
So once again dear reader, I put it to you:
"Tap'd Out" bottled tap water: Dumb...or Clever?
