Purse Thief's Slapstick Awes Police
When a police department spokesperson says a case reminds her of "The Three Stooges," you know it's gonna be good. Here's a Stooges animation I made to get you in the mood for this fantastic, not-intentionally-funny dumb criminal story.
According to cops in Cape Coral, FL, a woman went to a TJ Maxx store and was caught on camera stuffing six designer bags, worth $1200, down her pants.
A security guard confronted her, and when she jumped into her chauffeured getaway vehicle "she fell out and was run over by the car."
Then, as the drivers took off, she jumped on the hood, fell off and was run over again.
Undaunted, she finally made it into the automobile and escaped.
During the crime, the thief dropped a personal check made out to one LaKeitha Watson-Atkinson, and wouldn't you know, that name matches the registration on the getaway car, cops say.
This is why LaKeitha Watson-Atkinson, 21, is the prime suspect.
