Dumb Animals Cause Plane Crash -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS! January 15, 2009 5:53 PM | permalink

Now we know where the term "bird brained" comes from, after a feathered friend enemy or a whole flock of 'em allegedly caused US Airways flight 1549 to crash and sink into the Hudson.  Amazingly, and thankfully, as of this writing, it seems everyone survived.  Our Weehawken, NJ stringer (me) ran out the door and captured some pictures of the scene.  Check it.  And birds?  You are on notice!

UPDATE 1/16: This news event outed an actual Weehawken celeb!  Nets star Vince Carter saw the crash from his Weehawken crash pad!  Wow.  The Hawk has heat!  Who knew?
