Seven cameras installed on a pedestrian footbridge to help identify people committing crimes were brazenly stolen by a group of teens, according to cops in Davenport, IA.
To help collar the camera bandits, police released a collage of pictures (left) that were actually snapped as the security devices were being stolen.
By the look of things, rather giddily stolen.
As of this time, only one suspect, 19-year-old Robert Newton, has been arrested.
If you recognize any of the other Einsteins from the pictures, there's a police department in Iowa that would like to hear from you.

stealing security CAMERAS. did they think they didnt RECORD?
this would have to be the stupidest crimanal act yet .

I guess they have a hard time with the whole security-cameras-are-not-like-camcorders-the-tape-is-kept-elsewhere concept.

they thought that when the camera is removed, maybe the footage is deleted?
at least cover your face or something
