Is digital multitasking making us dumber? A new study out of Carnegie Mellon University seems to think so. Researchers found that the social media, texting and emails are making our brains less effective. But anyone who’s ever tried to hold a conversation with someone constantly updating their Facebook status on their iPhone could have told you that.

Tourists having dinner on floating iceberg get stranded

A couple of tourists visiting Iceland had to be rescued after getting themselves stranded on a floating glacier.

For some reason the group thought it would be a great idea to grab a few chairs, a table and have dinner on the floating chunk of ice. Yes, they were Americans.

But they also have real humans living in England and humans do stupid things.

Twitter limits you to 140 characters per tweet. Sounds pretty limiting, right? Oh, but the damage those 140 characters can do!

It can force powerful politicians to step down from office or topple brutal dictators. Usually, it just embarrasses the idiot who works in the cubicle next to you.

Emma Way, a UK driver, is that kind of idiot. Emma allegedly confessed to knocking a cyclists off his bike with her car on her Twitter account yesterday. In her tweet she stated,

Looking to catch your spouse in the dirty act of cheating? Hopefully they’re not straying, but if you’re suspicious of any bad behavior, try scouring your local chain restaurants when he (or she) claims to be “working late” again.

According to a recent study, adulterers and their mistresses (or mister-es?) tend to prefer pre-secret hook up snacks at chain joints. I guess nothing says “Join me at a seedy motel” like a never-ending pasta bowl.

Toddler soccer goal makes Chelsea crowd go insane

If I were a jerk, I’d take this opportunity to point out that perhaps if there was more scoring in soccer, fans wouldn’t go totally ape when a kid kicks a ball into the net. But even I have to hold my cynicism for this awesome adorable moment.
