Law prof wants to eliminate C’s to cheer up dopey, lazy students

Share

Law professor Joshua Silverstein wrote a piece in the University of San Francisco Law Review that’s sure to make him a hit on ratemyprofessor.com. He wrote that law schools should “substantially eliminate” C grades because they’re too stressful on students.

Silverstein argued that students who see a big fat C written on their paper would leave them psychologically damaged. Really, “psychologically damaged?” If he thinks getting a C is that traumatic of an experience just wait till they get that first student loan payment. Real trauma is having to pay back a $150,000 law school tuition.

He went on to describe other ways that low grades might damage students.

Man destroys his $430,000 Maserati

Share

A man in China with a sledge hammer and a few hundred thousand to burn recently smashed his Maserati Quattroporte to protest the car dealership’s poor customer service. Yeah, that’ll show ‘em.

The man, who was only identified as Wang (no joke here, that’s his surname), accused the dealership of using inferior parts, scratching up his car, and being charged for repairs they didn’t make. Sounds like car dealerships are the same where ever you go.

Fed up, Wang and his paid group of merry mashers showed up at a car show being held in the eastern city of Qingdao to beat the car to a $430,000 pulp. Then, in case enough people didn’t see it,

5 Mysteriously dumb Facebook posts

Share

A UK man claims to have stumbled on a vortex that lead to “other times, places and dimensions,” in his neighborhood. The man didn’t inspect the vortex any further saying he was afraid for the safety of his dog. No word on whether a blue police box from the 1950s was spotted near by. We have a similar portal that leads to all manner of creatures here in America but we call it Facebook.

Here are five dumb Facebook posts by people who are definitely living in their own reality.

Woman refuses to stop singing and gets booted from flight

Share

You’ve probably seen or read about nightmare flights where passengers are stuck in a plane for hours stranded on the runway. Well, if you ever find yourself in that situation, here’s a sure-fire way to get out of it.

A woman was escorted off an American Airlines flight traveling from Los Angeles to New York City for refusing to stop singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” The pilot made the emergency stop in Kansas City so the police could get rid of the tone deaf singer. It probably could have been worse. She could have been singing Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”

A passenger on the flight secretly caught the whole thing on video,

A new Facebook app has taken ‘poking’ to a whole new level of creepy. “Bang With Friends” lets you select friends on your list that you’d want to ‘bang’ and if they want to ‘bang’ you back, the app will send both users a notification. Just how much more awkward can Facebook get? Here are five posts that prove it can get way more awkward.

Man attempting to microwave toilet paper causes fire in Arizona

Share

Can you microwave a wet roll of toilet paper? It’s the one question no one has been asking themselves for years.

Toilet paper is so cheap and plentiful you hardly give it a second thought, except for when you really need it. Which is probably why a man Tucson, AZ tried to save a wet roll of toilet paper by sticking it in the microwave. What came next was one embarrassing afternoon plus hundreds of dollars worth of smoke damage.

15 Status updates that fail harder than Facebook Home

Share

Bad news for Mark Zuckerberg as the reviews for Facebook Home are hitting home. With reviews like “Uninstalled after 1 minute” the $99 stock  dropped to 99 cents overnight. Apparently no one wants Facebook assuming total control over our smart phones and turning them into one big spam box.

Check out this week’s worst Facebook that fail harder than Facebook Home.

Mom turns to WebMD after teenage son is shot

Share

The mother of a Houston teen might not be getting a “World’s Best Mom” mug this Sunday after she allegedly went to ol’ Dr. Internet instead of calling 911 after her 14-year-old son was shot by a family friend.

Cops say that Pete Jesse Rodriguez was allegedly chasing the 14-year-old with his gun and eventually shot him in the leg. It sounds like a pretty open and shut case for investigators because the house had a security camera that recorded the whole incident.

Yes, that house had a security camera. The home was run down with dogs running loose behind a rickety fence. It looked less like a house and more like a redneck meth lab.  What were they afraid was going to be stolen, their jugs of moonshine? Anyway…

Grown man attacks 11-year-old over Pokemon cards, say cops

Share

Willie J. Bean, a 25-year-old man-child, was arrested for allegedly attacking an 11-year-old kid over some Pokemon cards on Monday afternoon.

While most people his age are slaving away at a job, Bean was hard at work trying to reach his goal of catching all the Pokemons and becoming the Grand Marshall Pokeman, or something. I never really learned how to play the game as a teenager because I had a girlfriend, and a job. This guy clearly has neither.

According the Kankakee County sheriff’s police, Bean picked up the boy and threw him on the ground after he wouldn’t trade Pokemon cards with “another boy.” He also claims his “twin brother” actually attacked the boy before eventually admitting… you guessed it…
