According to The Guardian, an unidentified Norwegian man in his 70s was on the toilet answering the call of nature when he discovered that the sharp pain in his stomach wasn’t the Lutefisk from the night before. Instead, a nearby hunter had accidentally shot him while hunting a moose.
Police said that the bullet missed the moose and pierced the wooden wall behind it. The man on the toilet was shot in the stomach and was later flown by helicopter to the hospital. Anders Strömsaether, the man in charge of the investigation, said that his injuries were not life-threatening. The hunter was taken in for questioning.
The moose got away in one piece but the bathroom, on the other hand, will probably go on to terrify teenage campers for years to come.
