In a news report that would make even Grimace grimace, Ohio police arrested an allegedly intoxicated man named Randall Miller when he refused to pull over after leaving a McDonald’s drive-through. Police claim Miller later attested that he didn’t pull over because he wanted to have time to finish his Big Mac.
Apparently, Miller was hitting the special sauce a little too hard that night. As The Smoking Gun reports, upon stopping, “Miller, who smelled of booze and was slurring his speech, apologized to [Officer] Smith, saying he ‘was too drunk and he just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped.’” He was right to suspect that even McDonald’s is better than anything he was about to get in jail.
While Miller might have thought the sandwich was delicious, the officer found the whole thing a little harder to swallow and arrested Miller for driving under the influence and fleeing an officer.
Miller’s blood alcohol level was allegedly three times the legal limit at the time cops pulled him over. Maybe he was just trying to oust Ronald McDonald for the fast food industry’s biggest clown?
In any case, if he can’t win his trial once he stands in front of the judge, hopefully he can still request a pardon from Mayor McCheese.
