Most of the time when people sniff paint, it’s because they’ve hit rock bottom and are looking for a cheap thrill. But for everyone out there whose parents told them they’d amount to nothing if they started huffing paint in high school, Leandro Granato is here to prove them wrong.
Grandao is an artist, and he definitely has an eye for art. His paintings are made up of paint, which he snorts through his nose and squirts out through his eyeballs. He must have been a shoe-in during his elementary school talent show, alongside the girl who can wiggle her ears and the guy who can play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” with his armpit.
“Buyers are so impressed with his unusual technique that they are prepared to pay an eye-watering £1,500 to own one,” Metro UK reports. It takes Granato a pint and a half of tears for each of his creations, which is roughly the same amount of straight vodka a normal person would have to drink before giving this a try.
The paintings themselves are quite fascinating, with results that look like a mix of Jackson Pollock and that time I spilled water on a canvas.
The 27-year-old from Buenos Aries says his parents thought he was crazy, but have learned to accept his art. Hopefully, all that paint in his eyes won’t cloud his artistic vision.
