Some people think they can get away with a hit-and-run but when you’re driving the Google car, it may not be so easy.
That’s what one Google car driver in Indonesia learned, not once but twice, when he hit two bus’ and tried to get away. The accident happened on the streets of Bogor, Indonesia which you can see using Google street view. Well, maybe not the area the driver of this particular Google car was responsible for, but the rest should be viewable.
The unnamed driver allegedly panicked after he hit the first bus and tried to drive off. He didn’t get very far. And things got much worse…The report says he hit another bus and then a truck moments later. I guess when you’re in panic mode you forget that you’re driving the most recognizable car on Earth.
According to Newser.com, it’s not clear if anyone was hurt and the front of the car looks like it’s had some mild damage. A Google representative said that they’re “working closely with local officials to address the situation.” This is just the latest Google car embarrassment for the tech giant, when earlier this year it had to defend itself against accusations that one of their Google car drivers ran over a donkey in Botswana.
No one knows if Google will use images the car took of the area during the wreck but if they do, the pictures should prove to be pretty popular. Not, Australian-couple-having-sex popular but popular nonetheless.
