At an age when most girls are scoping out colleges and crushing on boys, three American women are hell-bent on saving London from demonic Harry Potter loyalists by throwing Holy water and bearing crosses. While the story sounds like it could be the plot of an eighth Harry Potter book, it’s actually the plight of three young subjects of an upcoming documentary film.
As the Daily Mail reports, “Brynne Larson, 18, and sisters Tess and Savannah Scherkenback, aged 18 and 21, are determined to rescue London’s youngsters from evil spirits, which they say they are inviting to possess them by reciting the spells in the Harry Potter books.”
As part of the new documentary – though a better description might be “publicity stunt” – the women will travel to London. And there’s where the fun starts.
They’ll be like modern-day Jack the Rippers, if Jack had murdered nonexistent ghosts instead of human beings.
The women believe promiscuous sex transmits demons, much in the way individuals pass sexually transmitted diseases to one another. So, for sexually active women who didn’t already know that Satan is living in their baby making machines, there you have it.
But, one might guess the women are the ones who’ve been possessed, judging by the fact they believe an entire city is haunted by ghosts conjured from fiction novels. One of the girls explicitly states that she thinks the spells are real and based in witchcraft.
Their trainer, reverend Bob Larson, who is also the father of one of the women, claims to have performed more than 15,000 exorcisms. While that’s an admirable number of people to help, what’s really impressive is the £200 he banks a session.
As the women go on to perform exorcisms throughout the London, the most important thing for them to remember that the city is full of spirits. Though, most of the spirits typically tend to disappear after they’re poured into glasses and swallowed by local drunkards before the pubs close.
