Ray’s and Stark Bar, located at the L.A. County Museum of Art, will soon feature a 45-page water menu with 20 different water items ranging in price from $8 – $20. Money may not be able to buy happiness, but apparently it can buy absurdity by the liter.
“Ray’s & Stark GM and water sommelier Martin Riese created the list which includes waters from ten different countries including Spain, France, Germany, and Canada,” Eater reports. It’s a little-known fact that “water sommelier” is French for “still trying to find a real job.”
The menu of ways rich people can waste their money includes a $20 bottle of glacial water called Berg and a $16 bottle of California-made 90H2O, which one could assume tastes like teardrops from thousands of failed acting careers.
Additionally, the booklet of water selections features information on origin, mineral content and tasting notes. Restaurant patrons can purchase any bottle of water on the menu or can try a $12 tasting flight to sample different kinds of water. Here’s the kicker: they all taste like water.
