25 things you can say to your dog but not your date

There are some things that are totally acceptable to say to your dog, but never ever your date. Unless you both have established a mutually beneficial rapport that supports such derogatory language.

For instance, telling your date, “Down! Down, girl!” could be deemed offensive. As could, “Looks like we need to trim a turd out of your assbeard.”

Stay out of the doghouse by keeping this dialogue between you and your furry best friend (not your date):
