Well, it’s come to this, America.
One of the hottest purchases of the holiday season is apparently the Bushmaster AR-15, the same weapon that was used to murder 27 people in Connecticut last week, 20 of them children.
Apparently, the guns are selling so fast all around the country that gun dealers can’t keep the weapon in stock. But that’s OK, right? I mean, maybe responsible gun owners are just buying them up to keep them out of the hands of fiends, right? RIGHT!!? Wrong. Here’s Business Insider:
In addition to the gun’s new-found notoriety, firearm enthusiasts say they’re lining up for the AR-15, which has been dubbed “the Barbie Doll of rifles,” simply because it’s fun.
“You can add scopes, flashlights, lasers,” Meyer told ABC News. “You can really tech it out. And being semiautomatic, it’s fun to go out and shoot.” Plus, he added, “there’s the military angle.”
Elko, Nev., electrician Tyson Boulette told ABC News the fact that “you can shoot 30 rounds in 10 seconds or less” makes the gun fun as well.
Yeah! That sounds like a LOT of fun!
Maybe you should run right out and get one for the irredeemable monster in your life! And don’t forget the bullets! They make wonderful stocking stuffers!
Great, now my stomach hurts.
Thanks a lot, idiots.
