A new video went viral yesterday of a toddler in Montreal getting snatched up by a Golden Eagle.  Although it didn’t take long for people to start calling it too good to be true  — there’s even a YouTube response video called “Golden Eagle Trying to Snatch Up Baby is Fake!” — which will surely appeal to thousands of wet blankets worldwide.  And no, we’re not going to link that up, because we want to hold onto the beautiful probable lie that is Golden Eagle Snatches Kid.

Still Star Wars and LOTR aren’t real and we love that, so don’t judge.  After the jump, the original video for your viewing pleasure….

We wish it was real, too, but sorry to get your hopes up — looks like there’s still no big golden-ticket advantage to early onset obesity.
