From Thai prisoners going “Gangnam Style” to grumpy cats, 2012 was a banner year for watching stupid videos online.
Probably the biggest time waster was the parody video. And with a healthy supply of popular songs and an endless supply of people with little talent to mock them, there were lots of parodies filling up Facebook walls. So we sifted through the clutter for you and chose the five absolute worst parody videos. After viewing them we guarantee you’ll wish the world really does end this year.
1. Spartan High School Style (Gangnam Style parody)
Hey, are those people in this video having seizures? Nope, it’s just another awful “Gangnam Style” parody. A YouTuber that goes by the name ‘Cym4tic’ wrote in the description for this video, “Feel free to hate and share it with the world!” And with this parody being hailed as “the single worst video on the entire Internet”, share and hate we did.
2. Gamer Problems (Hot Girl Problems parody)
What happens when you combine the poetic lyrics of two ‘hot’ girls with the boyish charm of an online gamer? You get the latest reason the terrorists hate us. “Gamer Problems” is a parody of “Hot Girl Problems” that Francis probably slapped together while he was taking a pizza and Mt. Dew break from his strict World of War Craft regimen.
3. Philly Real Estate (Call Me Maybe parody)
Hey, I just met you. And this is crazy, but have you seen these home mortgage rates lately?
4. The Bills That I Used To Know (Somebody That I Used To Know parody)
If you thought listening to this parody of Gotye’s song was bad, just be thankful you weren’t the one who had to paint that Bills logo on his stomach.
5. Insane Ian- Gotta Catch Em All (Rolling In The Deep parody)
For some reason this person thought the world needed a song that parodied both Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and Pokemon. It didn’t.
