Exclusive: ‘Discovering Columbus’ artist goes 0 for 2 on Columbus questions

Columbus Day is coming up, and to celebrate, I visited "Discovering Columbus" — artist Tatzu Nishi's extraordinarily cool art installation located at Columbus Circle in New York City. 

The exhibit, which is free to the public, features a six-story scaffolding wrapped around the statue of Christopher Columbus, complete with a modern living room that gives visitors a unique up-close perspective on a work of art usually only experienced from 60 feet below.

While I was there, I took the opportunity to ask some folks — and even the artist himself — a few dumb questions loosely based around Christopher Columbus.
