I’m glad that I’m not a TV journalist because I have this tendency to stutter and stumble over words when I speak. So I can totally sympathize with how this guy accidently mixed up a word during his report. It was an honest mistake and he's probably still kicking himself for screwing up. That being said, the YouTube comments for this video have been predictably ruthless against him. To those people, I'd like to see you do better.
I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is to be a reporter– especially a sports reporter. At least with regular journalism you can bend the facts a little. But with sports journalism you have to know exactly what you're talking about or the sports fanatics watching will literally dismember you online.
And it isn't like this will be seen once. It’ll be floating around on YouTube forever. MWAHAHA. I mean, what a shame.
