Little league sports are supposed to be fun, right? Wrong! Apparently, it's serious business for some people and after watching this video I was reminded why I didn't want to play sports as a kid. Frankly, I never really understood the obsession people had with kids sports in general. You don't see parents or teachers of drama club students going psycho over a high school production of Hamlet.
The worst thing about this guy was his claim that tripping the kid was accident, which it obviously was not. Maybe he should have just used the ‘I was testing his reflexes’ excuse instead. But even if he did, I doubt it would've really mattered because no one's buying anything he's saying and neither are the police who are investigating the incident.
But my question is, why bother? They have all the evidence they need right here. Are they seriously going to be sitting around analyzing the footage with their high-tech CSI: Canada equipment? Just throw him in jail with a child battery conviction! I’m sure he’ll do just fine as the prison's hockey coach.
