After watching this video, you'll probably be thinking to yourself that kids in this country have gotten stupider. But before you do, consider the fact that we were all just as dumb when we were his age. OK, maybe we weren't get-your-arm-stuck-in-a-vending-machine stupid but we were pretty stupid nonetheless.
Kids have been sticking their hands into vending machines for as long as there have been vending machines. The difference is with YouTube we can now post it all online and within a day those kids are the laughing stock of the Internet…at least until Snooki tweets about the book she 'wrote'.
And how many of us haven't done a few dumb things in our time? I for one am glad YouTube wasn't around when I was going through my hairspray and lighter phase. If it were, you'd see not one but two really embarrassing videos of me burning my eyebrows off. So really this kid isn't a sign that we're headed towards an Idiocracy, if anything it's just a healthy (albeit very public) learning experience. Now if we could just do something about the stupid clothes he's wearing.
