Wow.

$5.25 million a year for Dennis Wideman? This Dennis Wideman?

Of course if you see on the last line of the press release there, it is sort of impressive how he scored 356 points last season.

Yep, according to that press release, he scored 11 goals and 345 assists in 82 games last year. That's 141 MORE points than Wayne Gretzky got, during the year he shattered the single season points record. I guess that's worth paying for. Still, 11 goals and 345 assists? He should really shoot more.
