Watch this smug woman attempt to buy $100k worth of iPhones

Share

As someone who got a 'C' in Marketing 101 I'm probably the last person who'd know what a bad financial investment looks like but even I know that if your whole business plan centers around 'knowing someone on eBay', you're going to lose money. And not only did this smug woman lose money, she lost it in the most humiliating way possible: on national TV.

The woman in the video had the bright idea of using $16,000 of her own money to buy up all the iPhones and sell them on eBay for a massive profit. Unfortunately, there was a one-purchase limit so the only one who made a profit was the kid she gave $800 to for his place at the front of the line. And apparently the woman wasn't feeling too confident after her moneymaking scheme failed because she was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the news segment (she probably ran home to see how her investment with that Nigerian prince was doing).
