Here's a video of an idiot caught trying to steal a car on truTV's Bait Car.
The moron in this video is Tyrone, a thief who jumped into what was obviously a bait car. It had an open door, a key in the ignition and even an unopened bottle of water in the cup holder. The only thing missing from the set up was a big neon sign that read "Hey idiot, steal me!" What made Tyrone particularly funny is how clever he thought he was after stealing the car (he tried covering his fingerprints on the gear shift– but not the steering wheel). Maybe he thought the police wouldn't be smart enough to check for fingerprints in the one spot that's most likely to have them.
After he parked the car, the cops immediately moved in to arrest him and that's when Tyrone's criminal genius really began to shine. As soon as he was in handcuffs, Tyrone invented no less than three different excuses as to why he was "borrowing" the car. Each excuse he made up was about as creative as it was credible and when all else failed, he resorted to crying.
Hopefully he won't try and cry his way out of trouble when he's sitting in jail. Hardened criminals generally don't respond well to tears.
