Here's a video of a Romanian field reporter who was caught faking the sandstorm he was supposed to be reporting on. Apparently, he was late on the scene because by the time he arrived, the winds had died down, (maybe he shouldn't have taken the extra half hour to watch that Judge Judy rerun).
Instead of reporting that the winds had died down, the reporter had the production assistant create some uh, 'special effects' (i.e. having the guy kick sand into the air). Unfortunately, the cameraman accidently filmed the assistant kicking up sand in the background on live TV, ruining the reporters dreams of ever winning a Pulitzer Prize.
Suprisingly enough, even though the reporter is now the laughing stock of the Internet, he still has a job. Which is too bad because the cable news channels here in the U.S. would probably love to have a reporter with that much integrity on their team.
