Reporters are used to dealing with all sorts of "characters" when reporting on the scene but I don't think anyone could have been prepaired to deal with someone as disgusting as this spitting woman. The reporter in this video is prepping to do a report out on some Chicago street when a woman comes into the shot hacking and spitting everywhere. After being told that she was getting in the way of a news report, she started giving her very own impromptu weather report. Her "special report" was on how the harsh weather in Chicago can give you a cold but can also apparently be cured by drinking an energy drink.
I've seen plenty of reporters handle situations like this by talking their way through it or pushing the jerk out of the way. This guy on the other hand dealt with it by staying completely still, and rightly so! The reporter probably knew that a viral YouTube gem was in the making and all he needed to do was let this woman be as crazy as she wanted to be. And crazy she was! The reporter was left speechless and I was left dry heaving.
When the disgusting snot-producing creature finally left, the reporter said, "Tell me you got that?" Unfortunately for us all, he did.
