What started out as a sad but inspiring story about a young woman living through a double lung transplant turned into a animal piece about an animal. During a live Canadian news broadcast, a dog unexpectedly popped into frame and then disappeared again. The anchor stayed focused on the report, unlike myself who kept rewinding the bit over and over again.
After finishing the report, the anchor and weatherman explained that the dog's name is "Stormy" and was supposed to stay under the desk while the cameras were rolling. Apparently Canadian news anchors are allowed to take their pets to work but I'm assuming after this incident they're not going to be able to anymore. Which is too bad because the incident gave me a reason to watch the Canadian news.
