I've always had this romanticized idea of the scam artist as a smooth talking, dapper scoundrel. But this video proves that more often than not, they're just fat idiots looking for an easy buck.
The guy in this video attempted to scam a driver by pretending to get hit by his car. It's pretty clear this guy is no criminal mastermind because his performance is so awkward and unconvincing that his girlfriend (or wife) didn't even seem phased by it. This dumb con man isn't even good at the basic insurance scam, which is like the entry-level job of the criminal world. But that level of stupidity isn't surprising for a guy whose whole plan to pay this month's bills is standing in the middle of the road waiting to get 'hit'.
To make matters worse, he couldn't even remember which leg was supposed to be the injured leg. The car originally 'hit' the guy's left leg but after the driver grabbed the dash cam and started filming him, the con man is grabbing his right leg as if it were the injured leg.
Maybe next time he'll know better and at least rehearse with a shopping cart.
