For some reason during the '80s, Wendy's thought it would be a good idea to make a rap song about how to make drinks. Apparently, the soda machine back then was so complex that it required special training. But why use a rap song? Well, it's likely the suits at Wendy's HQ had heard about this new 'rap' thing that all the kids were crazy about and thought it would make a really positive teaching tool. Clearly they had never heard of NWA.
Other than the music, the worst thing to come out of this is the singer in the video. From the way she awkwardly swayed back and forth, it's obvious she didn't know how she was supposed to dance to a rap song. It wouldn't be surprising if she'd never even heard of rap before this. She probably had dreams of being the next Sheena Easton, but was instead stuck doing this rap video about soda for Wendy's.
Let's all hope her post-Wendy's video life was better.
