An embarrassing "SHCOOL" misspelling was removed from the street outside a New York City school building a day after the New York Post mentioned the error. The sign was made using a super-strength industrial tape that permanently sticks to asphalt. Workers had to literally grind up the street in order to fix the mistake. I find it hard to believe that not one person on the crew (or even a passerby?!) noticed this misspelling or thought to point it out. Unless "shh-cool" makes perfect sense? Maybe America really is dumber than we thought.
