My worst photo was taken at age 11 in the 6th grade — I wore a Mr. Rogers-inspired blue cardigan with a matching shoestring hair accessory. Said hair piece lay atop my badly permed hair, and my giant pink eyeglasses matched the budding pimple in the middle of my chin. I was scowling. I hated Picture Day.
