A South Louisiana man faces a driving while intoxicated charge for allegedly operating a lawnmower under the influence of alcohol in the middle of a busy street.
He wasn't just trying to mow his yard after knocking back a few beers. He was trying to mow a neighbor's yard, specifically a couple of hedges that aren't traditionally trimmed with a riding lawnmower. Then he tried to mow the street by driving the lawnmower down a busy highway, which brought traffic to a crawl. Of course, cops initiated a traffic stop because they either suspected he might be intoxicated or driving a Hybrid. Either way, that's a felony offense in the South.
Drinking and driving anything, whether it's a car or one of those miniature Power Wheels you got your kid for Christmas, is never a good idea. Sure it may not technically be illegal to operate a pogo stick after you've knocked back more than a few shots of the magic mind-numbing juice, but it's still not a good idea. However, taping someone trying to operate a pogo stick under the influence and then posting it to YouTube for the rest of the universe to enjoy is a very good idea.
