Hurricane Irene left a lot of people in the northeast without power for days and one man got so tired of not having access to electricity that he allegedly called a television station and made a phony bomb threat.
Threatening to blow the place to kingdom come won't get your lights back on any quicker if a giant swirling vortex of death and destruction knocked it out in the first place. You've got a better chance of getting your power back if you made a phony bomb threat to God (although good luck to you if he finds out it was you). How dumb is this guy?
As a former resident of Hurricane Alley aka Louisiana, I too understand the pain of not having electricity for longer than a day. However, I never called up the power co-op and told them their station would go "Kablooey" if they didn't turn my power back on immediately for two reasons: (1) power companies don't control the weather and (2) if I could get a human being with the power company on the phone at all, I should be awarded some kind of Nobel Peace Prize.
