I love cute things. Usually the closer something comes to being a little bit ugly or goofy looking, the further my cute-o-meter dips into the red.
It should come as no surprise that I love a well-placed garden gnome and did so long before Travelocity made it their mascot.
I saw a post on The Frisky a few weeks back about this very thing and aside from getting a cute overload, I couldn't avoid the nagging feeling that I'd seen the trend before.
And then the memories came flooding back.
Well, okay, not actual memories but a memory of photos of me looking like a plump little elf.
I dug up this picture and now I am not sure that my parents didn't find me living inside a wee little tree stump and adopted me as their own little lovable troll.
So, for the record, I am claiming that I started this adorable baby gnome craze in 1979 but feel free to challenge me with photographic proof.
