A Georgia man is behind bars after he allegedly walked into an Atlanta mall dressed as an elf and told Santa Claus that he was carrying dynamite.
According to police, William C. Caldwell III, pictured, waited patiently in line with a group of kids to have his picture taken with Old St. Nick. But instead of informing Kris Kringle what he wanted for Christmas, Caldwell, dressed in an elf's costume, allegedly told the big guy he had TNT in his bag. Father Christmas called mall security and Caldwell was arrested.
No explosives were found. Caldwell was charged with making terroristic threats, having hoax devices and reckless conduct.
An elf who makes bomb threats instead of toys? Definitely, a misfit.
