Chuck E. Cheese's; where a kid can be a kid, and an adult can be guilty of aggravated assault.
Trahan Pires, 34, pleaded guilty Monday to assaulting a 19-year-old kid dressed as the peppy mouse mascot at everyone's favorite restaurant and arcade chain. A judge handed Pires a $500 fine for the incident.
And this isn't the first such case…
According to a December Wall Street Journal article Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants nationwide should consider changing their name to Chuck E. Chaos, as parents gone wild have warranted a considerable number of calls to local police stations.
On their corporate website, Chuck E. Cheese's claims to believe that "today, more than ever, kids need a safe, wholesome environment in which they can laugh, play and simply enjoy being kids." Adults, on the other hand, seem to need a dangerous, anger-filled environment where they can beat the crap out of each other.
IMHO, Chuck E. Cheese's should just give in and let parents settle disputes the way adults should: a cage match style fight to the death in the ball pit.
