With multiple warrants out for his arrest, Trent Higginbotham (pictured) was a wanted man. When a detective recognized Higginbotham, the suspect bolted from his car and made a speedy getaway, according to police in Lake Charles, LA.
He avoided discovery by concealing himself in the attic of a nearby home. That escape might have worked, except for the fact that Higginbotham was unwittingly laying low in the home of a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's detective, who quickly discovered that he had an alleged criminal upstairs.
When Higginbotham refused to come down, a police dog was sent in to convince him. He was then taken to a local hospital to be treated and was later brought to the county jail.
