6 Secret Weapons The Pentagon Is Building

The War of the Worlds just got a little more heated.
Since that (first) science fiction novel planted the idea in our heads, we’ve been worried about alien superiority in a firefight―if it ever came to that. It’s a relief then that the Pentagon’s DefenseAdvancedResearchProjectsAgency (DARPA) is currently producing tomorrow’s weaponry. Stuff that wouldmakealienssweatsome serious spacegoo.
While some think that space-age weapons are evidence of a swollen defense budget, others believe that it could indicate the government’s knowledge of extraterrestrial life. Why else would be need bullets that never miss, liquid lasers, and aircraft that can go up to 20 timesfasterthanthespeedofsound?
Here are some of the Pentagon gadgets that will help us thwart alien invasions…
1. The EXACTO, AKA “The Bullet That Never Misses.” The world’s first guided bullet will make shooting aliens on the ground much easier as it change its shape in mid-air to hit its target.
2. ADAPTIV Armor, or Anti-Predator skin. Predator is an expert hunter given that it can see in infrared. But this pixelated armor system makes a vehicle or individual wearing it undetectable to infrared scopes since it can change its temperature signature.
3. FALCON HTV-2, a type of hypersonic aircraft. The Falcon is a rocket-launched unmanned craft that is able to travel at Mach 20, making a NY to LA flight just a 12 minute commute.
4. HELLADS, High Energy Liquid Laser Area Defense System. The first-ever laser weapon system that is light enough to be equipped on aircraft.
5. Satellite Infrared System. A network of Earth-based data centers and satellites in orbit will monitor missile launches and nuclear explosions allowing to counter threats and provide adequate medical response.
6. DISCROTOR Helicopters, airplane-helicopter hybrids. With the ability to take-off vertically, but fly like an aeroplane, the DISCROTORS would facilitate combat with pesky UFOs.
Bring on the aliens!
